As a new affiliate service of Primus Care, Inc. we are pleased to announce the addition of the consultant services of our Certified Legal Nurse Consultant, Diane L. Collins. With her special expertise, she can provide a variety of services to attorneys, healthcare providers, insurance companies, or individuals regarding any legal matter where health, injury, or illness is at issue. As a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant, Ms. Collins can assist in determining case merit, discovery preparations, medical record review, and case development for either plaintiffs or defendants.
She can also serve, under many circumstances, as an expert witness in her particular areas of expertise or in those areas in which she has performed research. Generally speaking, Ms. Collins can assist in matters which relate to:
- Medical and Nursing Malpractice Cases
- Regulatory Compliance and Accreditation
- Long Term Care Abuse and Neglect
- General Personal Injury
- Worker's Compensation
- Any Case where Health, Illness or Injury is at Issue
As a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant, Ms. Collins can offer a unique variety of services that are difficult to find in a singular source. Unlike the expert physician whose time is limited, Ms. Collins can assist in an analysis of medical nursing and health related issues; conduct medical library research; serve as an expert witness; recruit and review the credentials of others who may serve as an expert witness; identify deviations from standards of practice and care; prepare a chronology of medical events; prepare and contrast current medical literature to the issues in a particular case; assist in deposition and trial preparation; and help prepare demonstrative evidence.
